Got backed into, want to get an aftermarket bumper now
So I got backed into by my dad
and the body shop quoted him $467 just for a new OEM front bumper. So I was thinking why not try to get an aftermarket bumper for cheaper while the messed up one is off the car and my insurance is paying for a new one. So does anyone have any suggestions of a front bumper that won't hang alot lower than the sides of the car? I dont have the appearance package. Thanks.

I don't think you'll be able to find an aftermarket front bumper for around that price. Keep in mind that you would have to pay for paint and labor as well. You're better off buying the OEM bumper and adding a lip kit in the future.
I know I got a separate quote for the paint and install labor. They said it would be the same if I brought in a bumper that didn't need extra fabbing to get to fit right. So if a front bumper exists for around $450 I would look into it.

The only bumpers you'll be finding for that price are knock-offs, and that would deffinately require extra fabbing, and even then the quality of material would probably let you down...
Try this, if your willing, propose to your shop that you would like to get an aftermarket bumper and would they be willing to cover up to the cost of the OEM bumper($476) and you pay the remaining balance when they go to order it,,, that way everyone is satisfied and you have a nice high quality piece for a fraction of the price(most nice authentic bmpers range in the area of $600-$900)
This is how I got my Burnout chin spoiler, I only paid $200 fo r a $700 CF authentic chin spoiler....
