Is it true that it is bad for the car's structure to put the car up on 4 jack stands? I read that in some other thread, someone warned against doing that. I was gonna be putting it up on 4 stands to make my next tire rotation real easy, but if its bad for the car, ill not do that.

what's the difference between a dealership's lift and using 4 jack stands? So long as you use solid areas of the car using 4 jack stands at the same time is not an issue.
The shop manual instructs you to place jack stands at the 4 jacking points on the side sills. Think about it, those are the same points that most lifts use to raise the car. Of course, in order to use those points for jack stands, you need to raise the car from the front and rear center jacking points. The front jacking point is the center of the cross member, and the rear is the bottom of the differential.
Having said that, I wouldn't advise leaving the car on jackstands at those points for months at a time.
Damn Mike, you're just too fast for me.:)

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't think it was going to be a problem, some post I read just made me have to get confirmation. Wasn't planning on leaving it on stands for months anyway, just to rotate the tires thats all. Thanks guys.
