I'm not expecting 30 MPG on the highway normally, but I wouldn't be shocked seeing some posts in the next year about people approaching that on some long highway trips (albeit driven very delicately). Anything can be better than 275-300 miles on 14.5 gal I'm getting with my Olds. now and thats Hiway to. wakeech 01-01-2003, 03:43 PM Originally posted by Spining Ncnratr Anything can be better than 275-300 miles on 14.5 gal I'm getting with my Olds. now and thats Hiway to. heh heh, yup... the 18 mpg i'd be getting when i eventually get my FC... ;) (and i'm sure it'd be less in the city!! :D) Styjan 01-01-2003, 04:12 PM My FD gets around 12MPG city, but gets around 22MPG highway. SmokingClutch 01-02-2003, 10:24 AM On long highway trips, I have gotten as much as 29 mpg in my 1988 FC GTU. More typically it gets about 18-22 mpg, but if a 15 year old FC can get 29 mpg I have no doubt that an RX-8 could reach 30 mpg on a long stretch of freeway. |
