View Full Version : Check it out AutoExe Kit preview miata35 12-31-2002, 07:54 PM I'll let the images speek for themselves: http://www.autoexe.co.jp/temp/se-02_a.jpg To be unveiled January 10th P00Man 12-31-2002, 08:13 PM i dont like the front air scoops, or the vents infront of the wheels, plus i wanna change the red side markers to WHITE...euro gets the best of evertything...girls, food...side markers The side-skirts are hott though aswell as the wing, combine that with the front air scoops some kid photoshopped and itd be hott ________ Hamann motorsport (http://www.lamborghini-tech.com/wiki/Hamann_Motorsport) unemployedpimp 12-31-2002, 08:47 PM ewwwwww im disapointed :( kinds looks stupid Spining Ncnratr 01-01-2003, 01:12 AM And its F&F3  Hercules 01-01-2003, 01:47 AM Yes, it's ugly. Like I mentioned, the only exterior mod that I'll do is the clear blinker lights. Beemer 01-01-2003, 06:30 AM :) Me like this :) But I hope there will be nicer kits than this one. No rear wing for me. MattFast 01-01-2003, 08:09 AM Nooooooo ewwwwww! wakeech 01-01-2003, 02:37 PM surprisingly, i LIKE that air dam!! :D it'd be better with a pointier and lower nose though, this car isn't suppost to look like it's got the RB26DETT barely squished in there (that engine is actually quite enourmous...), but more like a real sports car... anyhoo, i do HATE those retarded side skirts... why the hell do they feel the need to make the car look ANY FATTER??? god, the sills of the windows are high enough as it is... in the eighties, yeah, alright, it looked good on some cars that had high rooflines, but that's just stupid... not to mention those "scoops" in front of the rear wheels... just baloney, baloney i tell you!! the wing is tolerable, but these retard kit guys better visit a windtunnel for a tour or something, that by simply being there they pick up a little bit of aerodynamic competance... put some good endplates on that sucker, and trim down the chord length... there, much better :) but that's just for style... performance-wise, nothing can top the ground effect... a real, functional, attractive diffuser would be welcome... cueball 01-01-2003, 03:22 PM That is one of the worst looking body kits i have seen. I looks like it is trying to swollow something. Mazda man 01-01-2003, 04:03 PM Don't hate me for this but I also kind of like that kit! Im not saying its perfect but with a bit of tweaking I think it could be really sweet.:D ShortBusRiot 01-01-2003, 06:24 PM i dont like it kinda looks like the 3000gt kit for a supra that is sold in thailand and australia. I would really like to see a body kit like the one on the stockseven t shirt with the bigger vents on the sides of the front. wakeech 01-02-2003, 04:49 AM i believe that those vents, when in practical application, are there to diffuse air which enters the dam, through the small scoops just below the oil-cooler inlets... here's that thread (note all the stuff i wrote in it) about RX-8 aero kits... What About a Wing?? (http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=426&perpage=20&pagenumber=3) my post which is relevant to this convo (with some pretty good links, i might add) is right near the bottom (4th one up or something)... if you care to read the rest of the thread, you'll find i make up about 15% of all the text in there, so i'm kinda opinionated :p pay little attention: this was some of the first stuff i posted those 5 long months ago, and i was a keener... :D wakeech 01-02-2003, 04:54 AM ah, screw it. i'll make it easier for you, 'cause it's late, i'm not tired, and bored. :p these are the links i wanted to point everyone towards: here's a good link to see what i'm talkin' about for that front diffuser (a la the R34 GT-R) www.nissan.co.jp (http://www.nissan.co.jp/GT-R/R34/0105/DATA/EXTERIOR/index.html) click on the FRONT VEIW pic, and you'll get a pretty good look... sorry about the size, but i've got no ideas of where to look... www.wrc.com (http://www.wrc.com/en_GB/Gallery/Photo/2002/005/2002_R_I_BurnsDay1.htm) here's a pic of the Peugeot setup... www.wrc.com (http://www.wrc.com/en_GB/Gallery/Photo/2002/005/2002_R_I_PanizziDay1.htm) and another one... different angle/side... and as for the rear diffuser, no, i'm not talking of the F1-style-huge-ass-drive-on-the-top-of-a-tunnel-kinda-downforce sort, something small, and subtle... i haven't found a good link for that yet... these are a couple of examples of functional aerodynamics in action, and the sort of thing AutoExe and others should be looking to more closely emulate. :) |
