Dealer forgot to check this on his PDI list.. San Fran? You didn't buy a sunlight silver by any chance? zoom44 11-17-2003, 11:24 AM over 42 trips the light also. wait until the morning then take your tires to 32 psi cold. that will take care of it. Rx8Past 11-17-2003, 01:14 PM I got the 16" rims though, is it still around 42 psi? Brother voodoo: I got the tit gray rx-8, and I am from san fran. eccles 11-17-2003, 01:54 PM I believe that the recommended pressure is 32psi for both the 18" and the 16" wheels - check the sticker on the edge of your door for confirmation. As folks have already hinted, the cars are shipped from Japan with abnormally high tire pressures, and the dealership is supposed to let air out as part of the predelivery inspection. Apparently they neglected to do yours properly. Rx8Past 11-17-2003, 02:08 PM Thanks a lot everyone for your help! DisneyDestroyer 11-17-2003, 09:55 PM Should always be 32 PSI. It automatically trips if they get too high (apparently over 42, never had that) or too low (under 28, that I have gotten being parked all day in a city going from 85F to 42F in about 2 hours). |
