Tirerack's webpage has the Dunlop Winter Sport M3's 225/45/18 on back order. I went over to NTB (National Tire and Battery) to get the tires through them so I wouldn't have to wait (they price match). NTB called Dunlop to order the tires and they were told that they are not available anymore. They have stopped production of them. I want these snow tires. Does anyone know where to get these tires? Maybe a place that hasn't sold out their stock yet?

This canadian site lists them, but I doubt they will match Tire Rack pricing. By the way, just checked the Tire Rack site and the M3 was no longer listed as an option for the RX-8 18" winter tires, just the LM22. So proof of price matching may be impossible unless you printed out the information earlier.

I've got a set of the M3's in my garage. Why would they stop production so soon? Does this indicate a problem with them?

18s or 17s?
I just ordered 17s (with new wheels, of course). They just shipped today.
There are still plenty of 17" M3 run-flats, if you're willing to buy new wheels.

Mine are 18's. I couldn't afford to get a new set of wheels yet. Maybe they just sold out of a limited production of the 18's....

Wow $250 bucks per from 1010.com. Tirerack was $154! This kinda blows. Anyone else have any ideas?

Hello all,
Regarding Dunlop M3s being out of production - maybe not :) . Check out http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?make=Dunlop&model=Winter+Sport+M3
now - the 225/45HR18 and 225/45VR18 are showing back ordered now.
I hope tirerack would not put them back on the web site if they were not going to be available.
Follow up: I called tirerack and spoke with Connor. He says snow tires are seasonal and manufacturers typically have one production run a year. He said they won't be getting any more Dunlop Winter Sport M3 225/45R18 s in til next fall :(.
