"make sure u notify everyone ur pouring this stuff into ur engine". So i followed the directions in the DIY section and upon startup this thick cloud of sooty smoke came pouring out the exhaust pipe for about 5 min. Man i had alot of carbon in there. My friend did his BMW and poured it in while the engine was running. We saw a thick cloud for about 5-10 seconds so i expected the same but boy was i wrong. As the car was running, people came up to me asking if my car was on fire. Some thought i blew my radiator (go figure when the smoke comes out from the exhaust pipe) and some thought my engine was busted. My neighbor came home from walking down 2 blocks from the bus station and told me that the people that lived down there thought there was a fire and was gonna call the fire department cause they had no clue what was going on but no one did luckily.
This video shows a brief moment as my friend took videos of it but what u see here lasted for about 5 min. It was even worst at startup. The video shows 1 min after startup when the worst was over. Trust me on this.... this stuff works!

is the smoke actually from carbon buildup in the engine or is it just the seafoam buring, I've been using this on every car I've owned just because people say it works... any link with before and after pics?

if you ran seafoam on a brand new engine with 0 miles on it, it would still smoke like that.

Did it work?
dunno if it worked or not just yet as im hoping MPG will increase but ill just have to wait and see. Also, it feels smoother but again, it might just be in my mind like when u change ur oil, U think that the engine is running smoother when in fact its the same as it was with the old oil so maybe "power of suggestion" takes hold. I do know that there was an abnormal amount of soot in my tailpipe so......

Cool. It looks so awesome.
I am just curious about it and wonder how it works and if it does anything to the oil film.

gotta love that butt dyno...
its scary how things seem to feel like it works better or run smoother or has more power after you do stuff to your car, like octane booster or to those gimmicks they sell on ebay... (not saying that your seafoam claim is an imagination)
I wish someone could seafoam my car after about 50k without letting me know they did it, and then let me drive it to see if I notice any improvements... like a blind experiment
