So I searched and found like 2 other threads where this was mentioned but I couldn't really seem to find a solid answer.

My driver's side rear sits lower than my passenger side, I do have a system in the trunk but it's set up in a way where most of the real weight is in the center, not to mention car's still uneven with an empty trunk anyway. So is this how our cars sit naturally? I read where coilover's "fix it" but I don't have funds to go that route so maybe there's something else I could try? As far as I know the springs are seated correctly and I've checked most of the simple stuff out, so maybe there's something I'm missing that someone can point out. Thanks!

anyone? I'm using S techs with stock shocks by the way, dunno if that means anything to anybody :dunno:

My rear tires tuck inside the fender, but there's substantial wheelgap in the front [more than stock] from full soft to full hard. I have no clue why my rear sits lower than my front but that isn't ideal for me. I'd rather it be reversed, what with an S2000 rake/wedge effect.

thats not what he is talking about. he means the drivers side is lower than the passenger side.

i know exactly what you are talking about canary. i have the same springs and the same problem. so does DonJuanMair. he's tried preloading and i have not, still the same problem.

are you sure you put them on right? the shop that put mine on didn't and they said it looked the way you are describing.

I have S.techs with Konis and have the same problem. Rear passengar side sits higher than the rear driver side by an ANNOYING amount. I havent been able to find a fix........

Michael, if you pre-loaded the fronts then maybe you switched the front and rear springs on accident? (just a thought). With s.techs your suppose to get the s2k effect u mentioned earlier where the front sits lower than the rear........

bummer, I've even gone as far as putting stock springs back in thinking maybe my Tein's were wound wrong or something :uhh: Guess I better scrape up some money for some coilover's then, or put in some of those little spacer thingies I've seen at pep boy's :lol:

I plan on installing my S-techs and pre-loading them but is this a guaranteed solution?

I mean why is there no definitive answer for this problem?

I wish I knew, it's funny to me as I know for a fact there are several cars that come from the factory with the same problem. How hard is it to build and produce a car that sits level? :lol: My previous vehicle was a 97' S10 pickup (lowered as well, Envoy front clip, disk brakes all around, 18" Budnik's etc etc) and Eibach actually produces lowering springs for that truck that are different on one side to compensate for it not being level. Makes me wonder how many other cars I see out on the road every day are not sitting right :D:

My RX8 sits the same way on the stock springs... My father noticed it this spring and mentioned it to me. I told him I was aware of it and that pretty much every RX8 seems to have the same problem, regardless of stock or aftermarket springs lol...

Sure it's a bit of an annoyance when you look at it, but it's one of those things that 95% of people aren't going to notice anyways lol...

I'm not worried about aesthetics, the problem I'm facing is clearance behind my back wheels and inside the bumper/fender, I'm really close to rubbing and if my car sat level on both sides I'd be "sittin' pretty" with little to no worries at all ;)

I have 18x9.5's w/ 265/35-18's in the back, with a +35 offset... The rear fenders had to be shaved, but I guess there was still some rubbing going on with the plastic in the inside of the fender/rear bumper... I haven't had it happen that i've noticed, but my brothers said it happened quite a bit to them when they drove my car out here for me (Had it stored for the winter back where I used to live lol I'm guessing they drove it pretty damn hard on there way out here to meet me lol)

yeah, I have 19x9.5 with a +29 back there, there's a bolt that holds down the corner of the bumper that sticks out something fierce, and the plastic liner covers it and bulges out even more. I rolled my fenders a while back so the fenders are fine, it's just the annoying bumper bolt plastic liner whatever that catches from time to time. I'll probably take a closer look at it this weekend, maybe I can relocate it, shave the bolt head down a bit, use a ziptie in its place aka drifter style etc etc

sounds like you might have them installed backwards. they did that to mine and it did the same thing and then they fixed it.

this issue was noted during one of the houston meets, almost everyone with lowering spring or aftermarket suspension set up have a slant problem in the rear.

I've been experiencing the same problem with my car for the past few years, but this yr i solved it with coilovers.... i did have to raise the right side of the car more so than the left to keep the wheel gap the same on both sides. however, i really dont know what the cause is...

i shaved the both the edges of the fender and bumper near that bolt and i no longer rub.

can you send me a pic or 2? coilovers are on my "list", just don't have $ to spend on them right now as I just had to replace my tranny a week or 2 ago.

theyre stock springs but theyre probably all new because i was in an accident. so you think the jackasses put the wrong springs on the front and back? it wouldnt surprise me at all. the people i dealt with were total fuckups

i took my car to the shop about this one, and they adjusted the allignment, the camber and did all they could do, he said its just the springs, and as you can see a lot of the time its Tein, i too have Tein S techs. In the end i just had to say i guess this is the way it is. Mine is my passenger side though, at least when im in the car it should be even

if they put the front springs in the rear your ass end will be way up there, we did that just to check it out and mine looked like it was lifted up on hydro's :lol: I put my stock springs back in the back and it's still sitting the same, just a hair higher than before but still uneven, so I'm definitely going to have go with something adjustable it seems, anyone have an opinion on the best coilovers for under a grand?

yeah i noticed this problem 2 days ago i have stock springs my rear driver side is lower than my left side would the dealer fix this with warranty????:Eyecrazy:

I have the same problem, but not sure if it's the springs. Lemme clarify this. Installed initially were Eibach springs with stock shocks. I was satisfied with the drop and the ride quality. Did NOT notice any uneven rear ride height issues, however I did not take any measurements, so I can't be 100 percent sure.

After about a year or so, my stock shocks were getting a little bouncy so I went with some Bilsteins...(yea, I know, I shoulda went with Koni's) anyhow that's when I noticed the uneven ride height in the rear. It's almost a 1/4 difference and I noticed it right off the bat without even measuring it.

I was thinking that something was tightened before the rear end was weighted down and therefore that's the problem, but, I did not have enough time when I was home last Christmas to deal with it.

Most people don't notice the difference, but it bugs the crap out of me....:banghead:

If anybody comes up with a solution, pls post.
