Where are most people buying a spare tire/wheel? I requested pricing from Tire Rack, but they didn't respond. I hate to pay the dealer's high price for something that may only get used once or twice over the life of the car.

 

I ordered mine with the factory spare and mounting bracket. I hate the price too, but I figured that if I didn't get it with the factory bracket, I would have to retro-fit the bracket and buy the spare wheel & tire someplace, so it seemed like the savings (whatever it might be) would not be worth the agravation. I think you can order the bracket from Mazda parts (and probably on line somewhere) and install it yourself - otherwise, the spare would lie in the trunk and take up virtually all the space.
