Not flooding issue... Car stalls after starting.

After changing out my battery yesterday, I seem to be having issues with cranking the car as soon as it starts, the RPM drops and wants to die.

Here is what I've done recently..

3 weeks ago, New plugs were installed.
1 week ago, 4 x new coils and wires were installed
5 days ago, drove it to DGRR 2008
3 days ago, I started to have some ignition issues and car died.
2 days ago, everything was ok and drove almost 300 miles without any issues..

Yesterday, found dead battery and replaced it with a new one... Started fine, drove 10+ miles to test and everything was fine.. until I was near by house and car died on me as soon as I depress the clutch and RPM fell to idle and died. I was able to crank and put in gear to roll start and as soon as its above idle RPM, car drove and sounded fine.. But as soon as its in neutral and in idle, the car stalls..

Anyone have any ideas?

I've also done the newest ECU flash!

Sounds like alternator.

Re-read the ECU reset stickie.

Check the coils and plug wire and plugs. They have all know to come loose after an install.

Check for vaccum leak. Start w/ the VFAD nipple under the plastic housing on the TB.

^+! to that.
Either that or the cable coming off the alternator is severely corroded.
If you have a meter, try and check it after starting real quick and see if your alternator is putting out at least 13.6v......probably more like 14.2v

Last night i got it started and after 4-5 times and giving little gas, I got the idle to stablize.

I took my volt meter and it read 13.8V at idle (800RPM).

This morning, I was unable to get it to idle after trying to crank for 4-5 times (each time started but wouldn't idle).. I just gave up as I had to goto the airport.

What is this VFAD?? Any pics?? I'm new to 8s....

Should be 14.2 or more. Rev it up to 2k see what she says.

Sounds like the voltage regulator, which nowadays is inside he alternator so...............

Re-check it. You need a new one.

I didn't check it but will do today..

Quick update..

I got the car running this morning and everything seems fine. I drove it to work this morning and everything seems to be running perfect.

I guess it could of been the battery and just needed to be fully charged..

No CEL when I was having issues..

Now I'm having one other issue. During cold start, I'm having problems with idle. It would hunt and now it would shut down. After 2-3 restart, it would idle fine and everything is ok.. Any suggestions?

hunting has been caused by owning a Jack Russel Terrior or a bad neutral switch.

Do a search. You will even find a video!

I'm just have cold start issue in the morning.. I'm going to film it tomorrow and post it here..

I've checked the MAF and everything seems ok. I figure if its the wires or the sensor, I'll have a CEL and also have issues during cold or warm start. But idle issues only in the morning..
