I have several, what looks to be waterspots dried on the inside of the headlight lenses. Has anybody else had any problems with this and if so how did you take care of it?

Has anyone with the problem addressed it to thier dealer? slavearm 11-10-2003, 11:09 AM I have the exact same problem on my left front headlamp. I will call the dealer shortly. Irish_in_a_RX8 11-10-2003, 11:42 AM sounds like they must have some kind of leak, that should not be happening, only aftermarket lenses have the habbit of doing this Gyro 11-10-2003, 11:56 AM I have also noticed this. Its not water from the outside getting in....its water condensing from warm air inside.....cooler air outside. The more I think about it, I'm inclined to think this is not a defect in parts. However it still may be a design problem. The headlight assembly is not a sealed unit. It looks like the entire assembly breathes. If you had a leak were water entered....it would take forever to evaporate, and always have water clinging to the inside of the lens. When water does condense on the inside, it dries up very quickly. which is a good thing. allstate 11-10-2003, 12:19 PM Originally posted by Gyro I have also noticed this. In my case, it has dried without leaving any watermarks. This has only happened once that I have noticed. |
