(see my Stereo upgrade thread) gotrx8 04-09-2008, 07:03 PM how about a link... i just mainly need instructions on how to use the Bose amp that's allready back there to power the infinity's .... Will those have good bass? I mean better bass than the stockers? Thanks Jedi54 04-09-2008, 07:09 PM just for future reference, here's how to find a person's threads. - click on their name - View public profile - Find all threads started by ____ Here ya go: http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=103771 Everything about the Kappas is better to the bose gotrx8 04-09-2008, 07:25 PM nice pics... but how did the rears hook up to the existing Bose amp? I really do like your setup... pics are worth a thousand words!! VERY NICE!! -Josh Mine will have to be setup this way just due to cash on hand right now but i will be using the Infinity's probably.... gotrx8 04-10-2008, 09:59 PM any advice? anybody? I did a search but some were more vague than others on how to hook them up to the stock Bose amp........ :/ jstkilntim 04-10-2008, 10:22 PM Disconnect the stock speakers, cut the wires, install new terminals and connect to the new speakers. The speaker wires are already where they need to be, no need to even worry about the amp. gothamite 04-11-2008, 01:29 AM just for future reference, here's how to find a person's threads. - click on their name - View public profile - Find all threads started by ____ Here ya go: http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=103771 Everything about the Kappas is better to the bose you are gonna create a following for all audio applications, using the jedi install as a model on how to be awesome!! lmao:Eyecrazy: gotrx8 04-11-2008, 08:28 AM Disconnect the stock speakers, cut the wires, install new terminals and connect to the new speakers. So, now who's silly? S yenphi 04-11-2008, 08:38 AM you start to go fucking yourself silly, nasty and unbelievable fucking stupid and just get the fuck out of this forum. StealthTL 04-11-2008, 09:04 AM I don't even know who that was aimed at, but you are seriously close to a time-out, yenphi....... I understand .... simply put hook the wires up to speaker.... easy put....!! Anybody know the amps going to the speakers once i get them in there? I think the minimum for the infinity i have my eye on have a minimum of 10 or something... So i should be ok i think You all have eased my mind.... with a little KY Jelly I'm going to get this done :mdrmed: :mdrmed: hahaha thanks felas Socket7 04-11-2008, 01:45 PM Any 2 ohm 6x9 speaker is a perfect drop in replacement for the Bose rear deck speakers, just use the existing wiring harness and off you go. I've got a set of infinity speakers as well (i got the 2 ways), and they make the sound a lot cleaner, but I didn't notice more range or bass response from them. I suspect I'll get more oomph out of them when i get my Arcaudio amp powering everything. You can replace the rear deck speakers in an hours time. Be careful removing and instaling the rear deck covers. you can bend/ break retaining clips, or just not get them back into place right and they'll rattle terribly. gotrx8 04-11-2008, 01:52 PM yea... i'll just take my time.... i don't want to mess anything up.. I honestly doubt i would since i do have a lot of patience Thanks.... -Josh jstkilntim 04-12-2008, 08:32 AM I give up!! gotrx8 04-12-2008, 09:26 AM give up on....? dude I understand how to........ i even used the search function a little more.............. jstkilntim 04-12-2008, 09:53 PM First of all, stop putting so many F'ing periods in your posts. I can't understand what the F you are trying to say, so I'm pretty sure nobody else can either. Try using complete sentences and maybe the responses will be more complete. Then if you don't understand something, ask for clarification instead of asking if someone is F'ing silly. I may be silly, but I do know how to hook up some stupid speakers to a stock amp. I also wear big red shoes, a purple afro and can honk my nose. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!! |
