Hello,

I may be interested in purchasing a new set of Shocks. I do not have the tools or resources I had when I lived in Florida, so I am looking into getting a shop to install the shocks. I am new to the Bay Area and would like recommendations. I would prefer an enthusiast/motorsports shop instead of the local MIDAS.

Any recommendations or RX-8/Spec Miata (i am sure they can handle the job) specialists (with reasonable prices)? Preferably with no downtime (1 day installation).

If anyone in the Bay Area would like to do it themselves, I have my garage in my apartment complex (nice and shaded), but I have no tools or equipment. I will pay for your services.

Thanks,
Jonathan

I strongly recommend you to take it to the PRO, I mean it.
I recently installed a new set of coilovers in a local shop, worst experience ever! I'm telling you, you don't want to take that risk, theres a place in Fremont call Kartoyz they do excellent suspension work, I've heard good things about this place from Z forum and NSX prime forum, I'm sooooo regreted I didn't take my car to them......

Wow, thanks guys.

RX8SpiritR - Sorry to hear about the experience. This is the main reason why I've asked, I just know a bad shop is a horror story waiting to happen, and rather than perform a trial by fire, I thought I'd ask around first!

Friendly - Lots of nice shops and dealers. I've just added the two threads and Rotorsport to my favorites list :).

Gulaman - Thanks. Custom made SwayBars sounds neat (and expensive!). Looks like a good place to get a competitive alignment done.

^ well, i don't wanna talk about it here because it's not like the shop did it on purpose and I know a lot of people still go there so yea, they still need to do business. I didn't even tell my friends about it cuz if they know they'll talk hella shit.........you know how small this commuinity is right.
