Smile Just installed my AP Pulley and WeaponR Catch Can...few questions...

I did a quick search and I got frustrated digging through post so don't tell me to search...ty

Ok so I have a Greddy SP2 exhaust, K&N Typhoon v2 on my car and it sounds great.

I just finished installing the AP Pulley, the Greddy Water Pump Pulley, and the Weapon-R Oil Catch can.

Now whenever I go above 7Krpm it sounds like my engine has sand in a blender lol Any ideas where this might be coming from? I double checked the tightness of the bolts on the pullies and the belts, so that is not it.

Any info someone may have I would greatly appreciate...

Search for marbles in a blender or sand in a blender you will have your answer.

Have someone in the car revving it to 7K RPM while you observe under the hood. Probably be the easiest way to narrow it down.
This will also tell us if this only occurs while driving or if this sound is noticeable while stationary.

I have the same issue and it appears to be coming from directly behind my passenger side firewall area. It's quite irritating but the stealership refuses to even investigate the cause of it.

if you have MIAC (marbles in a can) long enough, you will lose your engine.

go to a dealership that will look into it.

Hard to belive its "MIAC" if the noises just started right after installing your AP pulley.
Did the plate behind the pulley fall off or did you take it off while changing the pulley?

Well that being said, what type of fuel you using? Octane rating?

That plate is the eccentric shaft position plate and if it fell off, he would have a lot more issues (not to mention a CEL)
