After having the parts for 7 month I finally installed it today!!! Drop the car off at around 12 and pick it up at 6, I lowered the car .5 inch front and back, but the front is higher for some reason??? I'll take it back for alignment this Thursday and will ask them to lower the front for me, I'm running 275 tire and the rear rub in sharp corner, I'll have to roll the fenders too, maybe just the rear. Price is fair and the tech seems like they know what they're doing. $160 for installation and $80 for alignment. compare to this suspension shop in oakland quoted me $780. The damper is 10/12 right now, I'm still testing to see what setting is good for me....

I believe the TAR are either 8/5 or 7/5 for the Spring Rates

How do you like them? I was thinking about getting a set of JICs for the car. The shop that quoted you 780 probably uses All-Data for their labor rates & why it's so high.

no they didn't preload the front, he said if he preload it the whole thing will get stiffer, he ask me if I want to drive it around and see how I like it then bring it back thursday to do it all together. spring rates are the soft one 8/5 but I can always change it back to 10/7. I think my rear is too low, I can't even get in my garage, it's very stiff, it rub, so I can't tell you if I like it or not at this time...

I've had the FLT-TAR's installed for about 6 months, and I am very happy with them. I also have the softer 8/5 springs, and I usually run full soft on the dampers for street duty. Once you get them set up correctly, I think you will really like them.

If the car was lowered a half inch all around, the front should still be higher than the rear. The car is uneven to begin with (higher in front) and lowering it an even amount will not get rid of this. Since you have height adjustability seperate from spring preload I would have them lower the front a little more to even the car out. Most lowering springs are an even drop except the Tein and Tanabe where the drop is more in the front helping get rid of the uneveness.

I would also highly suggest loading the front suspension. Have them loosen the upper A arm bolts (17mm, 2 on each side) then set the car on the ground. Once it is on the ground the suspension is loaded and you can tighten them. This helps because you will be able to see the height changes immediately instead of having to wait for the suspension to settle. Great for coilovers where you will make a bunch of small adjustments to get the height where you want it. If you don't the susp will settle on its own but may not be where you want it. It could take weeks/months to have to keep waiting for it to settle on its own after every change.
