Ok...I'm gonna be nice. First...find your stock air box. Do NOT take that car in with that intake. They will void your warranty and then your insurance will fuck you as well. Insurance will not cover that if they see that aftermarket stuff in there. If you dont have it...then go buy one.

Your engine is hydro-locked = fucked.

Just bercause th efilter is wet dowsn't mean it got up to the MAF.

Take your intake tube off, examine and clean.

Bypass valve= No water

Drain oil....take plugs out....crank with fuel pump fuse out to get water or any other liquid out(Make sure there still isn't water in the intake or u defeat the purpose) let air out maybe a fan blowing into the plug holes put together and try to start again.....no go refer to SilverHokie's response

*Don't forget to put oil back in it

I took the tube off and it had some water in it. I don't know how it got wet it was raining that day but I didn't expect it to get water in it.

What he said. Don't take it to Mazda in current condition especially with the AEM intake on it!

A timeline of events would be helpful. Did you notice anything while driving (at the time it might have sucked water)? Or did you just notice the water in the intake after you had parked and then later tried to start the car with no luck?

It almost died then the cel came on. Turned it off then tried starting it again and it wouldn't start.

Mazda just called and said that it was just flooded. But something else must have gone wrong for the cel to come on?

no nothing else had to be wrong. the car flooded(from fuel not water) and they are fixing it. they should be using the new TSB- where did you take it? Tonkin? Herzog? that one in Hillsboro?
