Yeah I think we should have it in Dublin on the 29th because the last meet was in Tracy. I am not sure yet what to do though. The 30th might not work for me because I have school the next day. Let's have the meet at around 6:00pm because I have work that day, and won't get off till 5:00 or 5:30pm. When you say cruise, where exactly would you want to cruise around Dublin? my son's friend in Tracy just bought a blue one. I'll make him go. I think it was Cory.

Treasure Island wasn't the "Bay Area meet" it was the BARC guys who did that one. I'm in SF, there are 4-5 guys out in SJ/Santa clara, 2-3 up in the Richmond, 1-2 in Fremont, a few in SM, and UC. So Dublin is hardly in the middle... For the guys over here, Dublin is about 40 miles. The UC meet is about 25 miles from everyone, even from Dublin. You guys never came out to any UC meets yet.... Anywho :), if the traffic wasn't so bad in that direction Fri and Sat night I would totally love to go, but just for me to drive from SF to Hayward is already 1 hour.

Hey guys, are we doing this meet on saturday or sunday? I completly forgot about this get together thats going on saturday. Its at a shop called JDM Speedworkx in salida and I told my friends that I will definetly show up. I think it starts around 12 or 1 and anyone who wants to go can. Sounds like it was the Torque Converter. DW

I was Mazda today, getting an new oil filter and washer, gonna change my oil today. Hope they can fix it or most likely replace it. :)

When you do the switch over to redline, good idea to change your Diff too. Keep them together. :)

there isnt really a difference depending how just how dark it is. But i didnt see any difference in mine.

wow, looks like I missed out, sorry guys. After the car show on saturday my friend brought his car over to my house and it was running like crap so I told him I would take a look at it. It turned out to be an all nighter because he had two bent valves and I didnt wanna leave him stuck like that, but yea, once again I appologize for flaking.

yeah, you'll get a lotta crap from the SP's on base. I have mine on a custom bracket attached by a pair of DZUS/Panex fasteners. I was gonna bolt it on the bracket but I happened to have a pair of quick release fasteners that was left over from my bumper install

I have my front plates all the time (except for that picture/s) ...my car is a copper magnet as it is :D: I don't need to attract their attention any further.

Sorry I missed the meet. My car was getting fixed for like 3 weeks. Tranny. I finally got it back yesterday. They rebuilt it and put a new 4th gear, bearings, synchros, etc. I'm taking it back again today yet again though. When I shift into 3rd it makes a different kind of grind noise. I didn't notice that much on the drive home, but later I did. Just shifting into third it's barely noticeable but if I hold it forward you can hear it grinding. Not like a hard grind but a whirling sound. (if that makes sense) The dealership told me they called the hotline and they were told to take it apart and inspect. Looked like nothing was damaged by hard driving or anything, then the hotline said to take it apart and rebuild it. He said they never done that before, usually they just drop in a new one. But this time they told them to rebuild it, they took it to some other transmission shop because they weren't even sure on how to do it. So back to the noise issue, it only does it ni 3rd gear and it didn't do it before. This is 4th time i'm going to be taking it for a tranny problem. The first two were the chirping noise it did when idling and they replace the fork and some other stuff. That was done twice. Then this latest time it was grinding when I shifted into 4th gear. Now this....I hope they finally get it done right.

So I took it yesterday and had him sit in the car with me so I could show him the sound it makes. He said it doesn't too troublesome. Probably have to adjust some synchros or something and to take it in on monday.

Sorry to hear about your tranny problem Miguel, hopefully the dealer fixes the problem. If the problem continues you might get them with the Lemon Law.

Heck they should replace your tranny all together.

I just got a call back from them. They were told not to take it apart or even touch it. He said they had a foreman or field guy come out and test drive it for about 5 miles. The service manager at the dealer even showed him how it makes that high pitch grind and even when you shift it slowly into 3rd gear it'll occasionally grind. The foreman said under normal driving conditions there is nothing wrong so they aren't going to do anything. It makes me soooo pissed off cause my car never did that before I took in the last time. The only problem I had was the 4th gear, they took care of that. They had to take it to some other mechanic's shop to put the drive shafts in and stuff becuase the mechanics at the dealership couldn't do it. So I'm assuming something has to be wrong with the way it was put in. And the service manager when I showed him even said the synchros probably need to be adjusted.

Sonds like the dealer did not handle the situation in a perfessional manner, Try to see if you can get everything in writing and try calling CONSUMER AFFAIRS and tell them what has been going on.
