Well after waiting months and going thru the whole preorder process....I finally was supposed to pick up my car today...but guess what?....the dealer wreaked my car in the parking lot this afternoon. Why did it have to happend the day I was supposed to pick up the car? I am never buying a car from them again...

Surely takahashi j doesn't have to buy it if it's not perfect. Either they offer it to him repaired and at a substantial discount, or he can get another. Unfortunate to have to wait again, though. Sorry to hear about this!

Um, did you see the wrecked car, or did you just take their word for it?

There's at least a 99% chance that your car was not wrecked; merely sold to someone else. Car dealers do this all the time to people who have put down a deposit on a car; they figure they have you off the market, so they'll keep you on the string while they make an extra sale by selling your car to someone else. Then, when you ask why your car has not arrived, they make up some lame excuse like "oh, your car fell off the truck when we were unloading it and was totalled."

Sorry you had to learn this the hard way... :(

On the bright side, there are lots of other dealers with lots of other cars just waiting for you to walk in and buy. :D

I already signed a sales agreement with the car's VIN # a few days before I was supposed to pick it up because the sales manager wanted to meet his monthy quota. That day I also got to look over the car. I didnt take delivery right away because the finances were still going through. If they did sell the car to someone else, then someone would be getting sued. I also know ppl that can check the VIN # registration date, so if they did lie...
