what exactly does this mean? i know that the plugs can tell u a lil about how ur engine is running. i forgot what means what tho...
these plugs should only have about 15000 miles on them since i got the recall done.
i redline the car regularly, any ideas?

Bit of crap...but they aren't fouled or anything....I'd just put in a new set and don't worry about them.

I would suspect that you do a lot of city type driving????

Typically white plugs usually mean you are running too lean. Black means too rich. A brown/tan color is what you want. Yours look about right for the mileage.

Should be good to go...just be careful when installing the wires.......

either do them one at a time ( difficult to figure out which wire to use)

or label them..compare lengths...and install from the coil position....

they're not THAT bad. that's what mine looked like when i changed them a couple weeks ago. i do mostly highway driving and i don't redline my engine every chance i get simply because i'm out of pocket right now. i premix and do regular maintenance and my car runs fine - good power, decent mileage.

They look ok from what I can see. The most important thing is the color of the center insulator. Can't see it in all the plugs due to shadow, but the ones I can see are "tan" color, which is good. A little pinkish, which could be MTBE (gasoline additive) or maybe just the camera. The crusty stuff on the ends is mostly because our engines consume oil. Plugs pulled from a rotary will usually look gnarlier than from an equally healthy piston engine, due to those deposits. They don't hurt anything. Again, it's the center insulator that is the key. It's what keeps the spark jumping across the gap instead of back down inside the plug.

brown is okay, black is bad. My leading plugs looked worse then 5,000 months after the recall work.
