Hi, fellow RX8 drivers. Has anyone installed a Odyssey dry-cell battery in their car?
If so, how has this worked out? What have you used for a charger? I live in the Northwest where it is cold in winter and hot in summer. Thanks!

Works great for me, I have the small PC 680 16lb racing version which I have used to around 13 degrees F before I stored my car. Always started up great even if let sit for a week.

Mounted mine right above the headers and no problems from the 105 degree heat here.

I have one in my trunk....works as well as the OEM 680CA monstrosity that came with the car :)

...I've had it on the car for a little over 1.5 years now and never had any major problems. Well, the first one was drained but it was replaced under warranty. I've used the 11lb version on my FC while I was stationed back in WA also, had it on the car for over 2 years and no problems even after I sold the car.

d_j: i can't see clearly whats that on your coolant reservoir... but iirc, a system that can't add water to it...are you running some kind of lubricant/coolant called something like moonshine?

think i heard about the product from someone a while back...but forgot about its advantages or pros/cons.

anyway, is that what oyou're running?

LOL yeah, moonshine =)

...I'm using NPG-R, reduced viscosity compared to NPG and NPG+ and has a higher boiling point (400 deg)
