I'm new to the club and I just bought a 2004 RX8. Just love the hell out of it! I just have one concern though. I let the 8 warm up before I leave for work and I noticed that it back fires a little when it is cold. Is this normal or a part of a problem?

hell if you had the mazda speed exhaust that is mostly what you would hear all the time .i got used to it and like it when it pops after a good rpm sping off!

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on joining the addiction.

Probably normal but as a sanity check..
How many miles?
Maintenance record?

It is an addiction and one glad to have. It has 24k on her and I had a background VIN check done her and it showed nothing major done with it. Just the minor recall stuff. (visor and hood latch) The previous owner also took very good care of it and keep up with regular oil changes and maintenance.
