The front fenders are completely different. There are no side cutouts and there are side marker lights behind the front wheels. There NEVER was a version of the Evolv or the first RX-8 show car without these side cutouts.

Please note the hated front license plate cutout ABOVE the main intake a-la 3G RX-7 and different mirrors. It also appears to be a smaller car. Notice the extreamly short front end in the profile shot. If it wasn't for what appears to be the same rotory hood buldge and 4 door (non functional???) profile, I'd swear it's not even an RX-8.

Then what is it???

1. Is it the "let's make an RX-7 based on the Miata" idea that was floating around 5 years ago. I Doubt it. The rear side window profile is definitely post Evolv.

2. A 4G RX-7?????? No way, it's not agresive enough.

3. An RX-6!!!!!

At first glance, it looks like they're testing to see how it will do on the boat ride over here ;).

The video has some blackout stuff around hte front...

This is the one that was at SevenStock, inside the R&D Studio, that nobody was supposed to photograph (http://www.sevenstock.org/Photos/Sevenstock5/200-249/SS5_00228.jpg) ... oops.

That explains it! Talk about a mule! From that angle it is obvious that the rear doors don't line up with the front. No wonder they appeared to "not function."

Don't worry, they are not that great. The only interesting thing is how ugly the test mule is.
