Hi guys,

Got a quick question, if I have factory navigation, an Ipod and an audiolink with Video Out,
is it possible to output video to the factory navigation screen?

Is there an RCA in or something on the back of the navigation screen I can use? Or do I need some kind of part?

Anyone know how much the part costs ect? Also if such a part exists is it pretty easy to install? I'll be installing the audio link myself or is this kind of install not for the faint of heart?

Thanks guys!

This might be what you are looking for:

I don't know much about the nav screen though, there could be something cheaper but I don't know.

I don't know of anything cheaper/easier than that. Just in case you aren't aware, the video output on the ipods isn't like a mirror of the screen. I think it will only output video files.

I'm confused by what you mean by mirror screen and video file output. I want to use an RCA cable off an audio link combined with that mazdaparts thing to output video on the nav screen.

Anyone ever installed one of those? is it really hard?

I just mean that the video out on the ipod only works when you're playing a video. It doesn't show the menus or anything like that.

ahh,

thats fine, as long as I can play the videos.

Checked out the install for the video switcher, seems pretty straight forward.

Thanks guys.

Take a look at the Archos media Player. Can Video out everything to the screen. music, videos, and Menus. The Ipods are very limited.
