Hi all,
I've been using Zaino on my RX-8 and have been impressed with the shine and hydrophobic (water hating) nature of the finish. Water just rolls off (as does soap). So, I thought, hmmm, I wonder if this would help repel water from the front/rear glass? I put a coat on one half of the windshield, let it cure for 24 hours, and then washed the car with a high pressure washer. Sure enough, the water beaded better and rolled off faster on the Zaino-treated side than the non-treated. At speed, it makes a difference as well - under light rain I don't even use the wipers. I realize that there are products out there like RAIN-X that do something similar. RAIN-X is a silane containg product IIRC, and it's VERY toxic. I thought the Zaino would be a safer alternative, and since I was putting it on the car anyway...

So, you might want to give this a try. It seems to work well for me so far.

Regards,
