Hi folks,
New to the forum as I'm looking to get one shortly and got a few dealers looking at options for me. What should I expect to pay for an '08 GT, or an '07 for that matter? I had started to look for an 04/05 but makes more financial sense to get into a newer car.

So, sticker on an '08 GT with sunroof is $41,600. I'm not gonna pay MSRP, so what is reasonable? Not sure what wholesale is on this car or how much dealer incentives they get.

Also, since the '08's are coming, what is a reasonable price on an '07? I should be able to get deep discounts already, but want to see what range is right.

I'm from Ottawa but looking across GTA or Montreal too.

Cheers,

Andre

Just curious, with the heavy deprciation of the 8 and the car not being updated. Why does a new car make more financial sense?

In my credit situation, I can either finance an older car at a high rate, or lease at a lower rate. Doesn't make sense for me to get a financed '04/05 as I'd just pay too much in interest. I can get a new car for the same monthly payment.

Well how much are you putting down? What are the interest rates for each option?

Don't really want to get into the details of my financing, just want to get an idea of a fair price range on 07's, new or with some kms (under 10k).

Oh ok...well if you were putting quite a bit down and financed for 4 yrs or less, I think a higher interest rate wouldn't have such a bad effect. have you tried looking for any left over 06s? You should definitely be able to get at least 3K off the sticker price

I'm guessing about $2000 off list for 08's (so $39500 for GT) and for 07's around $34,000? A lot of dealers are advertising $7500 off for 07's which should put them around $35,000.

yea the 3K off was for new 08s...but 7500 off 07s looks like a great deal for a new car

Don't you want to feel like the car is yours? Leasing is like borrowing.. :)
