OK so I just got off the phone with my Mazda dealer out in North West Las Vegas. I told him my car feels like it has loss of power when shifting from 2nd to 3rd its like it wont pull that hard like it use to and idles like poo. I also told him to shift from 1, 2, 3, 4 then come to a stop look down and you will be in 2nd gear and when I down shift to 1st from 2nd it will jerk.
He told me I have to sign a agreement to have a vehicle inspection done and I have to pay for the vehicle inspection fee of $95.50 if they cant find anything wrong with the car that's covered under warranty. I asked why do I have to sign that if you/Mazda gave me a extra year/10K on my new drivetrane parts. He said its due to people taking there cars to privet mechanics then screwing things up and bringing the car back to us to fix the problems.
I asked about a rental car and he said Mazda no longer dos that.
:uhh:
WTF man is he BSing me?

I hope the 16X dont have stuff like this (http://rotarynews.com/node/view/500) wrong with them when they come out.

Wouldn't know, previous owner babied the car and I just don't use it that enough to sky rocket the miles up there so I'm still under full factory warranty...Are you under 25? They might just be cheap and not want to shell out the extra bucks to get you a rental.

I got a rental a couple weeks ago too, they fixed a CEL for the gas cap but nothing other than that even though I complained about a bunch of other stuff (slow start, etc)

Next time you take your 8 in, take them for a test drive and show them the issue or go to another dealer.
