Painting and Installing my CF Seibon TS Hood...?
Painting and Installing my CF Seibon TS Hood...?
Hey guys. This week I recieve my Seibon TS hood (carbon fiber), and next monday I bring my car to Rob Sight Mazda (very much respected around here) to have my spoiler and hood painted/installed, as well as a few other minor things.
Anyway, I have a couple questions. How much do I need to worry about the paint job on the hood? I hear that it can be finicky at times...
Also, I hear some people recommend installing hood pins. Is this necessary? I never bring my car over 100mph (anymore) so I dont know if that rule applies to me or not.
Thanks!

Awe quit worrying...
Most paint shops will do a great job, but dont expect to have a PERFECT factory finish. Most likely they will have to wetsand and buff out a few imperfections, but Im sure they will do a great job.
As for the hood pins, I dont really see the point. If you got the same hood I did, the TS, it really fits nicely, and uses the factory latch.
Be sure you post some pics would love to see it!
