I have few complaints with my '04 8 MT, which I have owned since new. About the only thing that annoys me is that the throttle on mine is very sensitive to the first 1/4 inch of travel or so. Is this normal?

what do you mean? That it's hard to move smoothly in the low gears?

It's not normal for me. In fact, the first portion of the throttle movement seems much less sensitive and it takes more travel than I would like, to get something to happen. One of the joys (?) of fly-by-wire.

Get a flywheel :)

No problem then.

The pedal position sensor has 6 wires.
It appears to be more than a simple variable resistor.
Otherwise we could spray some CRC 2-26 contact cleaner/lube in it.

Maybe someone has some more information on what's in the black box on page 12 of the electrical section.
