We had such a blast with our cruise in August! And we got some really awesome pictures too! Let's try it again. Let's have a mini-cruise on Sunday, September 30!

So here's the plan:

1) 11am - Meet up at H.R. Macmillan Space Centre
2) Cruise down to UBC and stop at Chan Centre and Rose Garden for photos
3) Head to Spanish Banks for some Frisbee/Football/Volleyball/etc and more pictures!

But what about lunch, you ask? We'll order pizza from the beach! How awesome is that?! =P

BC RX-8 Club is hoting this event, but we welcome all local RX-8 owners. If you have not come out to meet anyone in the local RX-8 community yet, please come out! We'd love to meet you all!

All BC RX-8 members please make this event if you can because we will finally have your shiny new BC RX-8 membership cards ready to give you. We will also be showing you a sample of our club logo vinyl sticker and giving you some updates on our club activities. On top of this, BC RX-8 Club Members get a free slice of pizza and can of pop (or bottled water)

Non-Members

I will be late going to this. I have to drop off my girlfriend at the airport on Sunday around 10am. Now it's possible we'll leave much earlier, in which case I can will have time to attend the 11am time.

Due to the poor weather forecasted for tomorrow, we have changed the location and plans for our Sept. 30th meet. Instead we will be meeting for lunch at a the sushi place called California Sushi located on the corner of Lougheed and Austin (right across the street from Denny's and Lougheed Mall. It's very easy to find so please do come out. We will meet there at 11:30 for lunch. This place is quite good and inexpensive (less than $10 for your meal).
I know that BCRX8 members were promised a free pizza lunch but I'm sorry to say that we don't have the budget to cover member's lunch bills at this restaurant. However, Tim will be giving free piggy-back rides around the parking lot instead. :ylsuper: yeehah!
all kidding aside, coffee and desert will be on us(bcrx8). If you haven't made it out to a meet yet, come on out! All local 8 owners welcome.

Thanks to all that took the time out to come out to our meet on a day of crumby weather. I think this is the first meet we had that had more people show up than actually signed up for. Those that couldn't make it, well we hope to see you next time. We enjoyed a nice lunch at California Sushi and after most of us had coffee and desert. We also discussed and planned for the next few months of meets. They will prove to be well worth attending so stay tuned.
