Hey all,

Was wondering if anyone else had this problem..

Ever since new.. If i wash my car and then put it back in the garage over night, and then drive away the next morning, my brakes or my hand brake one of the two are stuck to the discs, im guessing because of how the discs surface gets that light coat of dried up water( Rust) after you clean.

So it takes a bit of revs and a shunt of the clutch to get it or them to release.
Its a big clunk and then its ok and im free lol.

Although its annoying i think im prepared to live with it, rather than take it to my local dealership where it will come out worse than when it went in ie. Scrathes, dents!! Think ill jus take it up the road and back after i clean it in future.

Anyone else have similar problem?

Never had that problem. I've had a little rust , but thats gone once you drive it.

In my 20 years of driving all kinds of cars after washing them, it's very normal. Just as you described it. Simple rust build up and you can almost see it immediately after you wash the car. If it's bothersome than go for a quick drive after you wash/dry to clear it off.

It happens to my car as soon as it dries. It doesn't really bother me. I do live right next to the ocean.

100% normal and will also happen after some rain. if you look at your rotors you'll probably notice a light coating of that rust along them (probably even in water drops). as said, once you break that free you're good to go.

Jus wanted to make sure i wasnt the only 8 owner with this.

Easy enough to jus take it for a spin after i wash it.
Hmm rain and straight into the garage could get tricky :rolleyes:

Just ride your breaks as you enter the garage, keep them hot, and the water will evaporate before it has a chance to cause rusting.

it's normal. It's more apparent on the 8 then the last mazda I owned but I wouldn't worry about it.
