There's only one shop in London that has told me they can order the Borla exhaust, around $1250 after taxes, shipping, etc. Does that sound reasonable? If anybody knows a cheaper place in canada (after shipping etc.), please let me know.

Also, anybody know if I can go to Mufflerman or Speedy for installation and if so, how much (roughly) it might cost to install? Typically, would mazda install it?

i dont know......I went to my shop in Kingston and he quoted me 840 for the hks hi power or 898 for the greddy sp2. I know the Borla exhaust is more expensive ....but I thought it was about the same as the mazdaspeed exhaust and it runs about a grand.....so i dont know....why dont you call around to a few other shops in the surrounding area and see what they quote you at. Mazda would install your exhaust....no matter what you got,.....but its a pretty easy install, have you thought about doing it yourself??

those prices are crazy high guys. You should look around a bit. A few places out here in BC offer the SP2 for around $725 and I know the Borla goes for around $900 from Lordco.

 

I could get you the Greddy SP2 for $850 installed or $800 for just the exhaust.

Boffam.....I usually go to final lap and see shannon.....good guy usually can get things overnight if you really want them. I have a BB GT with spoiler, dark tinted windows, and Bronze work emotions.....I have seen 2 other BB in town I assume one could have been you.........do you have clear corners or no?? that would answer the question of where you live.....I know there is a bb rx8 with clear corners in lyndenwood......have seen another one on old oak raod by the apparments.........kingston,s a samll town......so we have probably crossed paths at least once.

 

I like those Final Lap guys...they installed a sub in our other car some years ago. I don't have clear corners...they are next after the rotary accents which are after the tweeters which just came in the mail yesterday. I live in the east end over the causeway and I work at Queen's...but I'm everywhere man. And I usually wave at other 8's (old Porsche habit). Are you the one with the Mazdaspeed wing?

 

A RacingBeat exhaust goes for $655 from their website. When you place an order, e-mail them and tell them to NOT ship using UPS. When all is said and done, it will be around $850cdn after tax.

I'd go with RPM's offer instead..

 

Boffam......just the mazda spoiler.....not mazdaspeed.....pretty sure I am the only one with bronze rims though??? I live in the west end......I work at KGH though....so we will probably pass by each other at some point. ttyl.

If I was interested in the Greddy sp2, could I drive out to Kitchener on a Saturday and have you install it? If the answer is yes, and it could be done in the next couple weeks, I think I would definitely go for it!

Hey Elliot, We can definalty install it while you wait, it'll probably take a better part of an hour, time to let it cool down a bit.

The warehouse shows 1 in stock so I could get it here within a couple days.

Thanks Turbo. This'll be my first exhaust upgrade so it will be a cool learning experience and not too expensive.
