I ordered Tein Mono shocks and EDFC on 8/20 from Imported Innovations who said they had them in stock which was inaccurate. Actually they are only a middle man and ordered them thru Vivid Racing.

My CC was debited the $2000 on the 20th.
Invoice emailed to me on the 21st with tracking numbers to follow.
Got tracking numbers on the 22nd which were "not found" in FEDEX system.
Tein in CA said boxes are ready and awaiting call tags from Vivid. (8/22)

Vivid did not send call tags until 8/31!! All the while telling me that FEDEX had been called and they failed to pickup the packges. (A blatant lie)

A very unprofessional business deal from both companies. Neither willing to accept responsibility for their errors and ineptitude.

It probably shouldnt have shocked me (no pun intended) that the Shipping geek at Vivid (Greg) would say that "this is the nature of the business".

Buy from these companies at your peril.

I ordered some stuff from Vivid about 2 years ago and only got half my order. Greg was able to set it straight after a few days.

I try not to buy anything that isn't directly affiliated with rx8club now.

Not the first or the last time Vivid will list something as "In Stock" when its not... then they play the point-the-finger game untill they actually DO have the part in stock.

I ordered Greddy Strut bars and a cat-back system from them about 6 months ago. Got the Strut bars in about 11 days, got the cat-back after about 3 weeks of excuses.

They tried to backpeddle when I called them on the "in stock" ruse. What they meant was the items were in stock WITH TEIN.

Sorry man, you should have looked up Vivid Racing before you bought through them! They are a shady place, and will take their time to ship stuff and most of the time it isn't your complete order or even what you ordered. And then they want stupidly large restocking fees to take back THEIR mistake! I wouldn't buy anything from Vivid even if I won a gift certificate

Yea, i tried to buy some things from vivid but things got shaky from the beginning so i backed out.

Val - Drew from our club had a similar experience with Vivid. Basically was told something was in stock ready to ship blah blah blah and three weeks later he received it drop shipped from the manufacturer.

You mean like how they listed the Tenabe sway bars as "IN STOCK", but when I called Tenabe they said they hadnt even begun production yet? (This was about8 months ago)

Vivid has a pretty 'vivid' imagination of what 'in stock' is concidered to be.

hmm thats weird. i had no problems with vivid. i've made some special orders from japan and both items (autoexe plugs/vertexlang kit) came in sooner than expected. the plugs came in within the next week and kit came in within the next month. they get my approval and business !

Thanks for the info guys. I definately won't be ordering anything from these guys. Have any of you noticed that they also have higher prices than anyone else?

It is the Autoexe Se-02. You can find out about it on the Autoexe website.

By the way, we are an official Auotexe distributor and can provide those and anything else that they sell. :naughty:

Sorry for the thread hi-jack.
