i put my racing beat exhaust kits on my 8, but the gas comes from the muffler smells really bad. it smells like something has been burnt or is being burnt. Does anyone have any idea why its like it, or it is supposed to be like it.

If you only installed a catback the smell should go away in time. But if you also deleted your cat with a racepipe:banghead:

It is no problem at all. It is a coating that the new exhaust has and will be burnt after some miles. Do not worry.
Check your plastics near the tips of the exhaust in order to see what is their condition (burnt? not burnt ?). I guess you could not avoid some kind of plastic burning with an after market exhaust but it is just a little bit and not a real problem.

Got a new problem. The racing beat cat-back that i got, didnt come with the gasket between the midpipe and the catalyic. So after i installed on, i eventually figured out that i need a new gasket for that part as well. Now, i wonder what kinda gasket it is cuz mazda asked me for 30 CAD dollars for only that shit. can anyone give me a pics how it looks and how i shoud install it(where exactly i should put it on).
