I have a JL Audio 300/4 amp and I want to know if I replace my stock BOSE amp, will the JL amp blow the stock speakers or should I get new speakers?

The bose system actually has pretty good SQ, it's just lacking severely in the highs and lows.

there isn't really a point in just replacing the amp. it's just alot of work and your probably not going to notice any difference at all.

if you want the easiest and cheapest noticable difference, take that amp and use it to push a sub or 2. even if you don't want alot of thump, you'd be surprised what a little extra "fill" can do. Then replace all of the interior speakers (especially the tweeters) and stock amps with aftermarket when you have the time and money.

thats so entirely wrong. the single most important piece of any syswtem is the power supply. I'm sure the JL amp is far superior to the OE Bose amp.

Personally, I find the Blows system in the 8 one of the worst sounding factory systems I have ever heard in 21 years of being in the car audio business. If this were my car, the entire system would be gone. Get rid of the 3 Bose amps (1 in the rear, 1 in each front door) and replace all the speakers while you are at it. Use a proper interface like the Audio Control 6XS or upgrade the factory head using the Corksport kit that is now available.
