Is there a way to track my RX8 on order via Mazda's web site? Or is there any other way to do it? My build date was supposed to be 10/1, but I have never heard anything from Mazda. Should I be worried? I did check w/ my dealer's Sales Manager today, and he said there was no VIN# assigned, but it did show "no changes allowed". So that makes me feel like something might be happening. Any advice would be appreciated.

If your build date was last week, your car definitely has a VIN. Are there any VINs listed at your dealership that match your car's specifications?

How would I find that out? They said they checked on my order. Is there somewhere else they should check. Sorry to be so clueless.

You can go to Mazda USA (http://www.mazdausa.com) and select "Build and buy", then "Search inventory". Pick your dealer, and your car by color etc. See if any car with your selected options shows up in the dealer's inventory. If yes, you will have your VIN.

Yea, you should have a vin# if you have a build date. Mazda never has contacted me with emails...I think they only did that with pre orders. I emailed Mazda and called my dealership to get the vin. When you get the vin...email Mazda from the RX 8 website and ask for the status. I understand your questions, anxiety and excitement! I asked all this stuff too. Figure 4th week of November.....hmmm....maybe texans get there's sooner....also depends on your options you put on your car.....some that do at Port.

Finally got an email from Mazda.....said my car was in Port in Woodhaven Michigan since Sept.22.....that's two weeks ago!!! I am only getting rotary accent pkg but maybe other cars are holding it up with their options, huh? How long could it be. They said now 3rd week of October.......I am thinking sooner? maybe wishful thinking....I am psyched!!
