Its been a few weeks, but thanks to all those that turned up for the Melbourne Meet on the 28th. Good to see the 5 cars there. For those that are interested, we plan to do it again before the end of November.

Hi guys, I'm an American or should I say a "Yank". I lived in Melbourne from early 94 to late 96. During that time I ownded an MX-5 and belonged to the MX-5 club. There was a guy in the club that made low profile stick on licence plates in your cars color. The look wasn't perfect but was much better than the metal plate. I also never had an issue with the police. You might think about doing the same.

By the way, your cars look great - I would like to be there with you.

I am getting my car the end of this month and when do you guys plan to meet again?

The cars look great, particularly as you managed to get a location where you could do some synchronised posing.

Just think how good it could be if one day we could organise an RX-8 Meet for the East Coast and have cars from QLD, NSW and VIC all in one spot. It would have to be an overnighter of course.

Food for thought....

Sound like it would be in Sydney... not sure about the stretch of road between Albury and Sydney...

It will be fun wouldn't it? How about meeting in Canberra?

Maybe a long week end or somthing??

Canberra would be a bit hard on the banana benders, that's 1300+km (approx 8 hours driving for L&L barefoot or 9 with thongs :) ), but a good 15 hours safe driving + stops for the rest.

I think it would be good to maybe just make a bit of noise when you've got an interstate run coming up and try and catch a few of the locals at the very least. (ie; post you interstate travel dates a bit in advance).

What do you all think?

I was away for a while and unfortunately could not make the day in question, however I'm always very keen to go on drive days or the like,

I like your style with the note, sure we'll have a blast in the near future,

Will give you a call, tentatively could do next weekend(18th or 19th) for an early morning thrash around the hills, maybe black spur or just around the hills / or even portsea way. Hills of course are more fun in this car!

Small world isn't it. Hope you didn't mind the note. One of the guys at work saw your car and mentioned to me the rego plate. Other than seeing your photos on this forum I was also on the way to the airport the other day and the HC driver and I got talking cars. I said I had an 8 and he explained he had another client with an 8 ......guess who - yes you.

And yes that was me that followed you on the Monash to work today. I work 4 doors up.

I am off to the MotoGP on the 19th. Lets go for a blast the weekend after if possible. Even if it is just for a few hours.

I sure Wizza will be in it.

You were talking about the meet you had in melbourne and only five cars rocked up, i was just thinking when the next meet would be..
Wouldnt mind having a day out with some other boys and girls of course :) , and go for a cruise some day. Ive had mine for a while now but just decided to get into this realm of things..so post a day and lets all enjoy the day for what it worth!! see ya
