I dropped my RX-8 off at the dealership to get a couple things fixed on Monday*. I finally got it back today. All this week I've been stuck in a Protege (which is better than the previous loaner I got ... an Echo). Oh man ... I'm gonna have some fun this weekend.

I have to note that I feel like an unappreciated girlfriend at this point. All week I was pissed at the service department for keeping my car all week and not making much progress until the last couple days. Now that I got my 8 back, it's like the service department gave me some chocolates and flowers and we "made up". I can't stay mad once I get my baby back. Ugh, ... so demeaning.

* They messed up the bolt holders/threads in the back bumper when they put the temp plates on. So they had to send it to a body shop to get some new ones attached. Also, my baby had some scratches on the front from before I bought it. I had them fix that up and the guy who did it (some third party specialist) did an amazing job. I can't even tell he repainted the front section.

ah good to hear it.. I hope I love my RX-8 as much when I get one next year.... I'm sure I will... blue like your's.

I read your other post so I was wondering about your license plate.. What'd they do? Rethread it or what..

Oops, I guess I forgot about my previous post. Oh well ...

I think they put in new pieces with threads to match the original bolts. I'll check it this weekend when I clean it, wax it, and put on a license plate frame.

Right now it's time to gas up and drive for a bit :)
