Does your spoiler match the car's paint exactly? I just had mine added at the dealer, and the spoiler is not metallic. It looks fine from a distance and I don't think anyone would notice, but shouldn't it match the car's paint exactly?
What about your appearance package? Mine is on order. I sure hope it is real velocity red!

Sounds like you got an aftermarket spoiler from your Dealer. We haven't been able to get the Factory spoiler at the dealership because they've been deverted to the Ports to catch up on the backlog. I know that the company that does aftermarket spoilers for us wasn't able to do the red because they couldn't get a paint match. The factory spoilers will come pre painted and will match the car exactly.

I got mine off of www.spoilerdepot.com, and the color matches exactly. Oh, and I saved about $300 from what the dealer wanted.

Personally I'm getting the red rx8 soon and specifically do not want the spoiler. I really think the spoiler kills the look of this car, and most every other car for that matter. It looks somewhat decent on the black, but on the red it certainly just doesnt fit the profile. Just my opinion.

Budaman, should I complain and get a factory spoiler when they are available, or will they not even care? Thanks.

if you got an aftermarket spoiler for the factory price, then yeah, you should complain. There's a big price difference. And if it doesn't match the car..that would annoy me.

jcrewlitz - that's fine if you don't like it, some of us do. The question wasn't about whether or not anyone liked it. It was about color matching for someone who obviously does like it.

Just received my Velocity Red spoiler today from spoilerdepot.com, and it looks like a perfect match...

I got my 8 with the apperance package and spoiler and it matches perfectly

I pointed it out at the dealer, and they will replace it. Apparently, the spoiler on there now is Miata Red.:)

I havea red one with the spoiler and mines a perfect match but i also odered mine with the car. I think it looks awesome.
