I just got my RX-8 - Silver, black leather, NAV, GT pgk, appearance pgk, 6 CD changer. I have been reading this board for the past two months and it helped me make my decision to get the 8. I do have one question though, is there a seceret to loading the CDs in the changer, I press th eload button, but no beep and no message on the display panel. I did a search, but could not find any information. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The disk number that you are loading into should be flashing. If you don't see all 6 numbers on the screen, you only have the single cd unit.

Welcome to the board. Sorry the tone has been rather negative lately, but 99% of us are thirlled with are cars. Once the unsatisfied/unlucky ones have turned in their cars the tone should return to a very positive experiece again.

i love mine. i try to make excuses to my wife all the time to go out and run errands just so i can get in it and drive.

anyway, I should have the CD changer, it has a load button and it only has bass and treble control (no mid), but when I press the load button, nothing happens. has anyone had any problems loading multiple CD's?

You get the load button on either, the facia doesn't change in the format of the controls.

Does it accept a single cd ala "forced entry"?

yes, it takes the CD like a player would

Yes, the entire seat (parts your body touches) are leather

Is that a standard interior color? It looks damn good with your exterior. Nice car! You say it's black leather but it don't look black in the pix; almost silver or gray.

where'd you take the pix at? Some kinda city park or the family estate?

The pictures were taken at Anderson park in Tarpon Springs Fl. The seats are Black, but the sun was very bright and it looks lighter, if you notice the dash looks gray in the same photo, but the next one down it is black (the correct color). I threw the pics together fast because everyone was asking for photos. I will take more and this time make sure the color is correct.

p.s. I've taake photos of my last 3 cars in the same spot - 2000 Celica GT-S, 1999 Protege, 1996 626.
