Running in B Stock currently with no mods except for front pads and the upcoming Konis or Bilstein's how would Hoosier R6's be on stock rims compared to say the A6 or 710's for AutoX?

It all depends on how warm it is out. If it's dead of summer in Texas, then R6's only have a slight disadvantage to an A6 or V710. In some cases, they could be an advantage if overheating occurs mid-way through a run.

In any weather other than above, they are a disadvantage. How much so depends upon how cold it gets. - AB

use 225's rather than 245s

I think you mean 285's, right? (meant in sarcasm)

Unless you are getting the tires free or relatively cheap used, the Kumhos are the way to go, as are the Koni's.

Care to explain? I always thought, and told, to stuff the widest tire you can. Is it because of the tire section/thread width vs. the 8" wheel width?

I believe baggy was obliquely making the point that you'll never get the R6 into it's intended temp operating range in autocross, so if you ran a narrower section at least you might get a more heat/a little closer ;)

Yup i've heard that theory on the r6 before, although i don't know if that trade off is worth it especially on shorter courses with more focus on overall grip.
