View Full Version : pictures needed
crewwolfy 11-05-2002, 06:45 AM Anybody by chance have the following pictures of the rx-8?
1. front view
2. side view
3. top view
These need to be pretty dead-on, as in not from an angle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Grimace 11-06-2002, 07:44 PM I don't think I've seen a directly overhead view of the RX-8... and I've seen just about EVERY pic of the RX-8, trust me. :)
crewwolfy 11-08-2002, 06:09 PM Cool. Here's what I've got so far. This could take a while, tho...
Grimace 11-09-2002, 07:50 AM What is it that you are doing with the pictures? I visited your website, nice work!

Looks to me like he's creating a 3d model... and I think I might be able to come up with an overhead shot... won't be too great, but I think I can.
Let me work on it.
edit:- I can rip a low res... almost overhead shot of the front half of the car... but that's as good as it gets...
Let me know if it's of any use.
crewwolfy 11-10-2002, 06:54 AM Yeah, I'm working on a 3D model of it. I've finished the front bumper, minus a couple touch-up areas. I don't know if I have the balls to even attempt the interior, tho. But yeah, any pictures are of use, thanks.
BlueAdept 11-10-2002, 06:59 AM This is about the best overhead shot I think I've seen... and it's lame... sorry.

danger 11-10-2002, 07:00 AM good luck with the 3d model thing, but coudln't you manufacture your own version of the roof of the car?!
granted i know nothing about 3d rendering, so forgive me if i sound n00bish :D
crewwolfy 11-10-2002, 12:56 PM Thanks Blue. I'll see if it comes in handy later on.
Danger: You're right, I could. I'm not really worried about the roof, tho. More so about just the general shape of the car itself. I know the front wheels have a rather...unique design. Should be ok, tho.
Ralph 01-02-2003, 07:19 PM I'm currently looking for the top view as well. Do you have any reference material? Thanks!
Buger 01-07-2003, 11:34 AM Ask and ... ;)
Ralph 01-07-2003, 11:44 AM Buger, you got Schematics dude! How in tha?? hehe
You rock man, straight up!
I'm modeling this thing and I was originally going to suffice with just some straight on head shots. Only could I dream of having orthographic schematics!!!
With these I can create exactly what I wanted, I'll keep you posted on my progress and my website. Thanks Buger!
:D
Buger 01-07-2003, 11:47 AM You're welcome. :D Don't mess your keyboard now. ;)
Ralph 01-07-2003, 12:00 PM Man, I have no clue where you got these from, but I'm totally impressed. Thanks again, this will help with the interior accuracy! :)
... and Who Farted? hehe
