Any body has the sun visor cracked and cannot stay up? I heard snap sound pulling down the visor and can't put it back up, then realized that its cracked on the top right side. Do you know its covered under warranty? The car is only 6 months old.

Of course it will be under warranty. Do a search on visor and you'll see others have had the issue.......including me! :banghead:

Mine broke also, on the second day I owned it, last March. Fully covered by warranty. Mine wasn't the first one they had heard of, either. Driver's side. Since then, everything has been O.K.

I broke mine 2 days ago, and you know what guys? It was anight time and I was in front of my garage!! The car is only 5 months old. Well even before the time I bought this car I find the materials used inside the rx8 were really cheap.

It's happened to me twice, and they've replaced it both times under warrenty. :)

They have fixed the problem now. If you bring it in for warranty replacement, the new one won't suffer the same failure.

I have the new one.. i still hear the cracking occasionally that I did on the other, waiting to see if they actually FIXED the problem.

just joined the "broken sun visor club" today. :sad: i hope the downtime isn't too bad.

My 8 is 3.5 weeks old and I have a broken visor to...

Tell me about it...it still feels like a day old to me!

Oh well, getting a new one. Its in today so I am getting it installed at 5:30.

I broke mine last week. What a piece of junk. I went to put it down and point where it is attached to the roof mor eor less just exploded. Little plastic pieces everywhere.....I'm sure it will take Mazda a good month or so to get a new one in now...
