I've been told by my local dealer (and confirmed with a Mazda CS rep) the following:

1. The replacement oil pan is only done under warranty if the dealer can reproduce the problem. Some dealers might be replacing them outright as goodwill but it isn't standard policy. Given this happens intermittently I don't think my dealer will be able to reproduce it.

2. It will be mid-october before all service acknowledgements are in their computer system. Until then Mazda USA will reimburse you for out-of-pocket oil changes.

3. The free loaner car only applies if you have warranty work done. You do not get a free car for regular maintenance work.

did you end up sending your letter to a Langhorne, PA address? When I called the number I was told to send it there. I would have sent it to the CA address if I hadn't called.

cool I suspect it depends on whether the oil change was at a service interval or just because you wanted it changed (e.g. Mazda's not going to pay for a first change at 1500 or 2000 miles...)
