Methodology: Periodically tested and monitored with baseline GTech-Pro, Voltmeter and CANBUS ECU readings taken before installation, recorded fortnightly.

Pros: Nice blinking light; solid ABS plastic construction; hasn’t exploded in extreme heat conditions yet

Cons: It doesn’t work - period.

(P.S. Manufacturer has responded, interesting to see how he defends his product)

Thanks for the report on this. Is this somewhat similar to Pivot Blue Raizin product. I really wonder if Pivot products works on the 8 as well. Any owner experience here?

My friend's car was one that was dynoed that day. Before and after results showed that it works. Abt 3hp gain. Nothing to shout about in reality but we know how hard it is to squeeze 0.3 hp from the rx8.

It works well for other cars...maybe just not on the rx8 maybe cos it is rotary...and we know we are errrr.....different. :)

gfoo - perhaps you're grading this item on the wrong criterior. I'd agree 100% the electronics in a car don't need help with regulation or voltage, that's built in. But other things like under-load high-rpm voltage anomolies, transients and noise that may limit coil & therefore spark current/voltage so they MAY be helped by this. Is it simply another cap type voltage stabilizer? It sounds (looks) too small to contain significant capacitance to be very effective that way and it'sdifficult toimagine what other device it could be.

Did you try to determine what was inside? Maybe it's plain bogus to begin with? Also I doubt a Gtech has fine enough granularity to be able to measure the small gains this may provide, if any.

Another thought is that - like vitamins and eating your vegetables and fruits, you don't know if something keeps you (or your car) healthier or stronger - because when using whatever, everything is just fine - and becomes the status quo. Sort of a 'catch-22' senario.

Thanks Spin. I did manage to look at the innards, and will post a more complete review with pix soon. I'm now trying out their 3rd variant of the EZ Extreme - am reserving comments for now but nuff said
