I have been surfing the forum for opinions and reviews of coilovers to find the right setup for my 8...i've read a few on the hks hipermax (rs and II), the JICs, teins...etc...however i can't seem to find anything on the greddy type-s coilover kit...they are near the same price as the hks hipermax rs on rx7store.net...anybody have any opinions or experience with them?? if not...then any suggestions on what would be the best choice??

If one screw adjusts both compression and rebound, then that is 1-way adjustment. It doesn't matter if that adjustment has seven detents or sixteen, it's still only one setting you can adjust.

If you have one screw for adjusting compression and another for rebound, that is a 2-way adjustment.

The max I've heard of is a 4-way which is a true race shock.

The Tanabe, JIC and others have only one way to adjust the shock, just like a radio has only one way to adjust volume. Talking about a 1-way shock as 16-way is like putting a rear wing on a front wheel drive--pure rice.

There's always the Cusco Zero2E GB with their new E-con as well. Check out the AutoRnD Subforum, it's in there. More expensive than the HKS RS and Greddy S type.

I looked through your thread and I am interested...what is the price for them now? The tanabe's are less than $1700 shipped to my home...what makes these worth the $2-300 more? My decision is def between these two though...

Google Cusco 2es and Tanabe's 7s and see what you find. Check out user reviews and what other forums think about either one. There are not lots of reviews but you can definitely get a trend, or at least i thought so.
