Brake Pads and Rotors

I need new pads for the front and my rotors need to be machined. Dealership wants 300+ (CAD). I'm just looking for street, good stopping power, low or no noise, and less dust. Been reading the forums, looks like I should consider Hawks Ceramics. Any other suggestions on pads? Know where I can get the Hawk pads locally in the GTA? Where should I go to get my rotors machined, i think 300 is excessive.

Get the rotors checked...the dealers always want to resurface them....usually not needed if this is the first set of pads through them......Check to see if there is a lip on the outer edge...and check the runout...if not just rough them up a bit with sandpaper and put in the new pads...
