I really don't keep much change in the car so I use the stock coin holder for other items...pack of gum, chapstick, etc....you know things that tend to melt/soften in the center console. I have a few coin holders that I acquired from past vehicles that fit perfect. What do you think?

you stick them in on end (like you were putting them in a vending machine)

ohhh, hahahah thats pretty obvious. my bad... from the pic i couldnt tell that it had such a big 'divot' at the bottom carved out, and didn't look that deep.

sweet man, i like it. besides the fact that i never use change in my car, that could come in handy

Not sure......I had them laying around for about 2-3 years and just came across them in the garage on Friday. I was very surprised both of them fit. The one on the left in the pic fit the best. If I'm not mistaken it came out of an older Honda or VW. Can't remember exactly cause one of my friends gave them to me when I had an 02 Civic SI. They didn't fit in the 02 Civic so I threw them in a jar in the garage...pays to hold on to things. I will try to have a source by the end of the week.

The part number for the one I used (on left) was on the back of it.

If you noticed I moved the interior dim switch to the outside where the blank spot used to be and put one holder in its place. Since I have a second coin holder I could do the same with the DSC. Only reason I didn't is the coin holders are different. When I track down a matching one for either I will order it and install them side by side. I'm going to stop by some dealerships this week and give then the part number on the back of the one I used.

Will keep everyone posted........this will probably be one of our cheapest mods ever.

Since so many seem interested I went out to the garage and repeatedly deposited and removed change from the coin holder to see how many times I made contact with the DCS button.....quite a few. I decided to move the DSC to the far right and put the blank space in it's origianl location so I won't accidently hit the DSC button when fishing for change. I think this will be the best arrangement.

My JDM actually comes with this coin holder.
I've taken it out to fix in another switch.
Let me go search for it. I believe there is a part no. for this.

Here it is, but no part number at the side, it's just some material number i guess...

You were too close, therefore you have to use the "Macro" mode on your digital camera.
