I want to buy coilovers around the $700 range but I do not know what to pick. Thinking about Megans but not sure since they are around $900.

Choices are Megan Street Series, Tanabe S-OC, and Tien Basics that I can think of. Anymore would help.

Best street performance would be best since San Francisco streets suck. But mountain roads are just to addicting to me.

Much thanks in advance.

can't go wrong with the Tein Basics- but they are just that- basic. Save up a little more and go for the Tein Flex coilovers.

the words 'lowend' and coilovers shouldn't be in the same sentence. Why do you want coilover so much? Do you see a need for having height adjustment?

If not, go with something like Koni's + springs.

tien basics, if you have to have the height adjustment
save a little and buy flex's worth the extra imo

I got the basics because I was able to get them for $450 brand new. For the price theyre damn good, but if I were going to buy a retail set of coilovers at full price Id save up and get the Tein Flex or JIC FLT-A2. If youre looking to save money get some Yellows and RB springs or S-Techs.

i agree, for the money you spend on tein basics you could put into a much higher quality shock/spring combo
