Front plastic lip

dose anyone know if a company makes a after market replacement for the black plastic lip in the front, mines pretty scraped up and worn and i wanted to get a new one, i wish it wasnt plastic or i would paint it velocity red to match the car and throw a chrome accent in the middle

You can go with the lip from the Appearance package. You can get it VR, and it will look all spiffy.

That restriction does not make any sense. I'm sure there are plenty of auto RX-8s out there that have the appearance package front lip.
This is not the only example. For instance, the same accessory catalog says that the front splash guards are not compatible with the appearance package. Nobody knows why do they claim such BS. I'm one of the many who do have exactly this combo and there is no reason why it wouldn't work.

Speaking of which.....why does it say that the trim ring around the grill will not work with AT's?? Is that another typo, or is there a legit reason?
