I was looking into getting my roof painted black... anyone know how much it should cost? just wanna get and ideal price so i dont get ripped off.

 

well to get my trunk, roof, repaited it was about $1000 dollars


due to some dickless loser that egged my car one night.

 

Usully the rule of thumb (at least as far as my experience goes) is a respray/ overspray is about $200 per panel. Just to get everything from the bottom of the windows up painted black (a black top, right?) should run you about $500 if you get a good price. If youre gunna do the trunk also add another $2-300. Id ballpark it around $800.

Im getting this done very soon but am extending the black down the hood to the front bumper, with a base colored stripe down the center. Im lucky to have a good buddy with a paint booth, so all I have to do is pay for the paint and throw him like $100 and its done.

Spraying over. With the paint scheme I have in mind it makes more sense that way, but I could see why you would want to sand it down and prime again.

he quoted me 1000. imo thats too much for just a roof appearence mod... with those kind of numbers it makes me wonder how much it cost to get a cf roof? lol...

 

proly around the price of 1500$-2000....which i d much rather do....

its only gonna be a CF wraping on top of your current roof, as i know it;s not possible of switching the "roof" out.

I think a black roof on a red car looks pretty good - especially on the RX8.
